Histoires d'A

Made in 1973 by Charles Belmont and Marielle Issartel, Histoires d'A documents the work of the Movement for Freedom of Abortion and Contraception (MLAC) and its fight to decriminalise abortion in France.

Banned for more than a year, the film circulated through clandestine screenings, playing cat and mouse with the police, which only amplified its impact and the reach of the feminist struggle.

We produced the French audio-described version of this documentary for blind and visually impaired audiences. The work covered script adaptation, scriptwriting, audio description scripting, voice casting, voice direction, studio recording, audio cleanup, mixing and quality control.
